"Renewable Energy Certification System" (RECS)

The "Renewable Energy Certification System" (RECS) is a Europe-wide initiative launched by power producers, distributors and certifiers.

It separates the environmental value of renewables from their physical energy by means of certificates, which are then traded on the international floor.

As a so-called "production registrar", TÜV SÜD already tests generation plants in Germany, Switzerland and Slovenia.
