TÜV SÜD expands global reach in the softlines business

TÜV SÜD has expanded its global softlines business by enhancing its testing, inspection, auditing, certification and training solutions for clothing, textiles and footwear products, extending its global reach, and tasking an experienced global team to drive the business forward. The expansion plan includes offering a holistic one-stop solution across the entire softlines supply chain through customisable services, competitive pricing, expert opinion and training on pertinent issues such as the use of restricted substances, social compliance, and quality and safety management.

Leveraging on its ISO 17025 accredited laboratories and technical experts located worldwide, a variety of TÜV SÜD’s enhanced softlines solutions are now offered in locations such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Australia, Turkey, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK and the USA. To complement its full scope of services, TÜV SÜD experts will also be providing guidance and expert opinion on supply chain management and prevailing issues such as the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), REACH implementation, as well as environmental and social compliances through trainings and seminars.

Spearheaded by Kapil Bansal, Global Sales & Product Director for Softlines, the global team will drive TÜV SÜD’s softlines business and provide strategic direction worldwide. TÜV SÜD is currently a member the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) and Textile Institute (TI) in the UK.
