The range of services in the strategic business segment MOBILITY includes roadworthiness and exhaust-gas analysis as well as valuation reports, damage assessment reports, used vehicle certification and appraisals for obtaining classic car registration. For corporate customers the experts also offer workshop tests, provide support for fleet management and test quality standards at car dealerships.

TÜV SÜD is also involved in optimizing products and processes for the international automotive industry. The experts help manufacturers and suppliers to develop and test new models and vehicle components, and award type approvals in accordance with international regulations. Other areas of focus include consulting on safety issues, crash tests and chassis testing. New and innovative issues such as e-mobility and the safety of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles are continuously gaining in importance.
