FISITA 2008 World Automotive Congress

The Association of German Engineers (VDI) was proud to host the 32nd FISITA World Automotive Congress 
in Munich, one of the most famous and lovely cities in the heart of Europe, from September 14th - 19th 2008.
The Emphasis was placed on the development of future powertrain systems, conservation of the environment and energy resources as well as new vehicle concepts, electronics and essential improvements in vehicle safety. Special attention was devoted to the product creation process - including virtual reality techniques, simulation and testing methods. From the list of companies which have already booked their spaces you can see that the world's top vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers have recognised the unique value of FISITA as forum of communication with the engineers and executives who are responsible for designing, developing and specifying the world's automobiles.
A congress with accompanying technical exhibition and technical tours, which took place after the presentations topped the event off. Among companies such as BMW and Audi, you had the chance to also visit TÜV SÜD. We opened the doors to our Competence Center in Garching on September 18th, 2008.
